An Act to amend the Licensing Act 1964.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1Modification of permitted hours

In section 62(1)(b)(i) of the [1964 c. 26.] Licensing Act 1964 (permitted hours in clubs) for the word “five” there shall be substitued the word “six”.

2Short title, commencement and extent

This Act may be cited as the Licensing (Amendment) Act 1989.

This Act shall come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the date on which it is passed.

This Act extends to England and Wales only.
